The company prides itself on delivering exceptional guest experiences through a unique blend of high-quality food and outstanding customer service. Panda Express fosters a culture rooted in family values, community involvement, and continuous employee development, making it one of the most respected restaurant brands in the country. As a business, Panda Express is committed to supporting its associates not only professionally but also personally, offering extensive training programs, ongoing leadership development, and numerous benefits to enhance employees' work-life balance and career growth.
The role of Assistant Manager at Panda Express is a pivotal position within the company's store management team. This role focuses on supporting the operation of a single restaurant location, ensuring that both financial and customer service goals are met with excellence. Assistant Managers at Panda Express are entrusted with crucial responsibilities, including hiring, managing, and directing store associates to optimize performance and foster a positive work environment. They are directly involved in streamlining operations, maintaining food safety and quality standards, and driving business results through effective team leadership and strategic planning. To prepare for success in this role, Panda Express provides comprehensive paid Store Management Leadership Training that lasts for three or more weeks. This structured program equips Assistant Managers with the necessary skills and knowledge to lead efficiently and adapt to the fast-paced nature of the food service environment.
Beyond leadership development, Panda Express offers a generous compensation package featuring bonuses and a wide array of employee benefits. Full-time associates enjoy medical, vision, dental, and various insurance plans such as voluntary short-term disability and cancer income protection. The company also supports pre-tax dependent care flexible spending accounts and provides a 401K plan with a company match to aid long-term financial security. Additional employee perks include free meals during shifts, paid time off, paid holidays, and leave options like bereavement and funeral leave. Panda Express further enhances the employee experience by offering discounts on theme parks and gym memberships and encouraging community engagement through volunteer opportunities. Continuous career advancement is a priority, with opportunities available for management positions as well as scholarships and education assistance for ongoing learning and professional growth. The company values adaptability, effective communication, and a strong work ethic, expecting employees to thrive in a dynamic environment with high standards for safety and operational excellence.
Overall, working as an Assistant Manager at Panda Express means joining a successful, family-oriented company dedicated to fostering leadership, personal development, and rewarding work experiences. This role is ideal for individuals seeking a challenging yet supportive environment where they can make a meaningful impact on both their team and the valued guests they serve. Panda Express is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, offering reasonable accommodations throughout the hiring process to ensure all candidates have equal access and opportunity to succeed in their careers.
