The company operates in a dynamic retail environment and values diversity and inclusion, actively encouraging applications from people of color, women, LGBTQIA+, veterans, and persons with disabilities. Valvoline Instant Oil Change offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package to its employees, along with ample opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
The position of Assistant Service Center Manager (ASCM) at VIOC is a pivotal role within the service center team. As the right hand to the Service Center Manager (SCM), the ASCM plays a critical leadership role in building and maintaining a high-performance team dedicated to distinguishing VIOC’s service experience from other providers. This role requires a blend of hands-on automotive service skills and strong leadership abilities to train, supervise, and motivate hourly employees effectively. Beyond working on vehicles and interacting with guests, the ASCM is responsible for helping manage daily operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, overseeing labor management, and contributing to the financial performance of the service center.
The ASCM role at VIOC also offers a supportive and engaging work environment that values team members’ development through an award-winning training program and clear career advancement pathways. VIOC provides a flexible work schedule with no late evenings or holiday shifts, making work-life balance a priority. Employees receive paid on-the-job training with no prior automotive experience required, along with paid time off, holiday pay, and tuition assistance. Additional benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with a 100% match up to 5%, backup child and elder care, company-provided uniforms and tools, and a 50% discount on VIOC automotive services. VIOC’s culture centers on safety, inclusion, and commitment to its employees, ensuring a welcoming environment where team members can thrive and grow their careers.
This position calls for someone with a strong customer service mindset who can deliver a welcoming and professional first impression to guests, build trusting relationships that foster loyalty, and uphold high standards for cleanliness, organization, and safety in the service center environment. The ASCM will assist with compliance related to environmental, health, and safety policies and actively participate in mentoring and developing the team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a reputable company while advancing your career in automotive service management.
