Job Description

Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) is a leading quick-lube service provider in the automotive industry, renowned for its commitment to delivering fast, reliable, and high-quality oil change and preventive maintenance services. As a well-established company within the automotive service sector, VIOC operates numerous service centers nationally, focusing on customer satisfaction and efficient vehicle care. Valvoline's dedication to innovation, training, and employee development creates a dynamic work environment where team members are empowered to excel and grow. The company is dedicated to fostering an inclusive culture where diversity is celebrated, and all employees are encouraged to bring their full selves to work.

The role of Assistant Service Center Manager (ASCM) at Valvoline Instant Oil Change is a unique leadership position that supports the Service Center Manager in managing daily operations and cultivating a high-performance team. This position plays a vital part in differentiating VIOC's service experience from competitors by ensuring that every guest receives exceptional care and that the service team operates efficiently and professionally. The ASCM will be engaged directly in car maintenance services, including oil changes and additional automotive care tasks, while also leading, advising, training, and supervising hourly employees. This leadership role requires a balance between hands-on technical skills and strong interpersonal abilities to mentor staff and build loyalty among customers.

At VIOC, the team-oriented culture emphasizes that "It all starts with our people." The company actively promotes diversity and inclusiveness by inviting applications from people of color, women, LGBTQIA+ individuals, veterans, and persons with disabilities. The position offers competitive weekly pay, starting at $22 per hour, with flexible work schedules that exclude late evenings and holiday shifts, making it suitable for those seeking work-life balance. Employees also benefit from paid on-the-job training, so prior automotive experience is not required, which opens opportunities for those looking to enter the automotive service industry.

Additional benefits include paid time off (PTO), holiday pay, tuition and certification assistance through access to a free online university, and medical insurance with prescription drug coverage complemented by Health Savings Account contributions. Dental, vision, and 401(k) savings plans are also part of the benefits package, with a 100% match up to 5%. Valvoline prides itself on promoting from within and supporting continued career advancement, backed by an award-winning training program focused on safety and professional development. Other perks include back-up child and elder care services, company-provided uniforms and tools, and a 50% discount on Valvoline Instant Oil Change automotive services.

The Assistant Service Center Manager plays a critical role in maintaining a welcoming and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety policies and other operational procedures. Candidates must be capable of physically demanding tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working in non-climate-controlled environments. The role demands full mobility, including the ability to twist, stoop, and bend. A high school diploma or equivalent and fluency in English are required.

Valvoline Instant Oil Change is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. Every qualified applicant will receive fair consideration, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, veteran status, or disability. The company also offers reasonable accommodations during the recruitment process to ensure accessibility for all applicants. This role represents a fantastic opportunity for individuals eager to start or advance their careers in automotive service management, working for a reputable brand committed to employee growth and customer satisfaction.
