Job Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are a plus
  • ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • ability to stand and exert mobility for up to ten hours
  • capability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to read and write for communication
  • finger and hand dexterity for using tools and equipment
  • strong leadership abilities
  • excellent problem-solving skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
  • cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
  • ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints
  • ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits
  • maintains departmental inventory levels
  • ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks
  • effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
  • maintains effective safety and security programs
  • promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation
  • performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
  • promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
  • promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • helps maintain a trained staff through employment orientation, training sessions, employee meetings, and policy implementation
  • participates in employee development through one-on-one meetings and performance documentation
  • assesses employee efficiency and provides fair feedback regularly
  • monitors employee performance and documents situations requiring corrective action
  • ensures compliance with company policies and legal regulations
  • controls costs in assigned departments
  • complies with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • drives bi-weekly or weekly food and liquor inventories
  • prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
  • assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and company standards
  • provides a role model for managers and employees
  • develops proficiency in store-related technology
  • works in all positions including cooking, seating guests, bartending
  • uses the Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth
