The role of Applebee's Assistant Manager is integral to maintaining the high standards and vibrant culture of Flynn Applebee's. As an Assistant Manager, you will be involved in all facets of the restaurant's daily operations. Your primary responsibility is to foster passion and commitment among guests and staff, ensuring everyone enjoys a memorable experience. Assistant Managers at Flynn Applebee's are responsible for managing operations that guarantee timely and friendly service, maintaining inventory, ensuring product quality, and meeting sanitation and health standards. You will also play a critical role in employee development through effective training, coaching, and performance evaluations. Leadership development is encouraged through the Management Development Program, allowing continuous growth and refinement of your skills. The compensation for this role ranges from $18.18 to $25.71 per hour, approximately $51,994 to $73,530 annually based on a 50-hour workweek. In addition, eligible employees may receive monthly bonuses depending on location. Flynn Group also offers substantial benefits, including competitive wages, profit sharing, medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401k plan with company match, paid vacation, and paid sick leave. The position demands physical stamina with the need to stand and move for up to ten hours, safely lift up to 50 pounds, and work various shifts including weekends. Job Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • Capability to stand and exert mobility for up to ten hours
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to read, write and use small tools and equipment
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications are a plus

Job Duties

  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
  • Cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of our core values and beliefs
  • Ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
  • Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
  • Maintains departmental inventory levels
  • Ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks
  • Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
