With nearly 2,800 locations globally, Panda Express proudly delivers exceptional Asian dining experiences while fostering a community that inspires personal and professional growth among its associates. The company is deeply committed to its values of family, community, and continuous improvement, making it not just a place to work but a place where employees are genuinely valued and supported. Dedicated to cultivating leadership and developing its workforce, Panda Express provides comprehensive support and training programs, including paid Store Management Leadership Training and ongoing mentorship. This support system helps associates thrive and achieve success in their careers within the Panda family. As an internationally recognized brand, Panda Express emphasizes inclusivity, equal opportunity employment, and workplace accommodations, reflecting its commitment to a diverse and respectful work environment. The company encourages candidates from all backgrounds to apply and ensures compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act to provide reasonable accommodations as needed. The role of Assistant Manager at Panda Express is a pivotal position responsible for the overall operation of a single store. The Assistant Manager’s primary duties include hiring, managing, and directing store associates to not only meet but exceed financial goals while ensuring the delivery of an outstanding guest experience. This leadership role requires the ability to motivate teams, manage dynamic store environments, and uphold the high standards Panda Express is known for. Candidates welcomed to this role undergo an extensive three or more weeks of store leadership training, designed to equip them with the practical skills and knowledge necessary to lead their team and achieve store success. The job offers substantial benefits, including free meals during work hours, a generous compensation package with bonus opportunities, and comprehensive insurance coverage, such as medical, vision, dental, voluntary short-term disability, and cancer income protection for full-time associates. Additional perks include a pre-tax dependent care flexible spending account, 401K plan with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, bereavement leave, and a leave share program. Employees also enjoy discounts at theme parks and gyms, opportunities for community involvement, continuous education assistance including scholarships, and a lucrative associate referral bonus. The role requires flexibility, including the ability to work in various stores within a 50-mile radius and a flexible schedule that incorporates weekends. A high school diploma and Serve Safe certification are required, along with the ability to perform physically demanding duties in a fast-paced, sometimes hot and noisy environment. Assistant Managers must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and maintain effective communication skills to manage conflicts and adapt to changing priorities.
