Job Description

Panda Express is a renowned leader in the fast-casual dining industry, specializing in American Chinese cuisine. Founded in 1983 in Glendale, California, Panda Express has blossomed into the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States, with nearly 2,800 locations worldwide. The company's mission centers around delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences while fostering an environment that inspires employees to improve their lives. As a brand deeply rooted in family values, Panda Express dedicates itself not only to customer satisfaction but also to the professional and personal development of its associates, promoting a culture of support, mentorship, and growth.

Panda Express is currently seeking experienced leaders to join their store management team as Assistant Managers. This is a critical role within the company, responsible for assisting in the operation of a single store. The position involves overseeing hiring, managing, and directing associates to meet financial goals while ensuring that every guest receives an outstanding experience. The Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the success of their store, contributing to both operational performance and team development.

To support new leaders, Panda Express provides paid Store Management Leadership Training lasting three or more weeks, equipping them with the tools and knowledge needed to excel. The company offers competitive compensation packages that include bonus opportunities, along with comprehensive benefits such as medical, vision, dental, and various insurance plans. Employees enjoy additional perks like free meals during shifts, discounts on theme parks and gym memberships, paid time off, holidays, bereavement leave, and programs designed to support work-life balance.

The role requires flexibility, as Assistant Managers must be willing to work in any store located within a 50-mile radius and operate on a schedule that includes weekends. Candidates must hold a high school diploma and be certified in Serve Safe food safety standards. The job demands the ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments, often standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. Effective communication skills, adaptability, and conflict management capabilities are essential to succeed in this position.

Panda Express is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion, complying fully with the Americans with Disabilities Act. They offer reasonable accommodations in hiring and employment practices to support qualified individuals with disabilities. The culture at Panda Express emphasizes career advancement, leadership development, and continuous education assistance, reflecting their commitment to the welfare and growth of their associates. Joining Panda Express means becoming part of a family that values hard work, community involvement, and the opportunity to build a rewarding career in the restaurant industry.
