Job Description
Wendy's is a globally recognized fast-food restaurant chain known for its commitment to quality, customer service, and innovative food offerings. With thousands of locations worldwide, Wendy's has established itself as an industry leader by consistently delivering fresh, made-to-order meals in a friendly and efficient environment. The company places great emphasis on developing a positive restaurant culture where employees are motivated to provide outstanding service and maintain high operational standards. Wendy's values teamwork, growth opportunities, and a service culture designed to delight every customer, ensuring they return again and again.
As a Restaurant Assistant Manager (AM) at Wendy's, your role is pivotal in supporting the restaurant's overall performance and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for assisting in creating a service culture focused on exceeding customer expectations and driving sales growth. This includes providing impactful training and coaching to team members to ensure every shift is optimally set up to deliver superior customer service. You will lead team huddles, the cornerstone of daily communication within the restaurant, where priorities, service standards, and sales initiatives are shared and reinforced. The AM plays a key role in continually improving quality, service, and cleanliness while ensuring strict adherence to food safety and health regulations.
The AM supports the achievement of key operational objectives such as sales, earnings, and labor management. You will partner closely with the Restaurant General Manager and other management team members to analyze performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions. Labor scheduling is another critical aspect of this role—balancing cost controls with appropriate staffing to ensure exceptional service standards are met across all shifts.
Moreover, the Assistant Manager will actively contribute to creating a positive team environment by supervising, mentoring, and developing crew members and management staff alike. You will champion initiatives that foster retention and employee engagement through effective communication and leadership. Handling customer feedback with a proactive, solution-oriented approach is essential to maintaining Wendy's reputation for excellence.
This role demands an individual who thrives in a fast-paced setting, capable of multi-tasking and leading by example with professionalism and composure. The position requires flexibility, including a willingness to work varied shifts totaling about 50 hours per week and travel between locations as needed. This career opportunity at Wendy's offers a dynamic, rewarding environment where you can grow your leadership skills and contribute meaningfully to a beloved brand's ongoing success.
