Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) is a leading automotive service provider committed to delivering fast, reliable, and high-quality oil changes and vehicle maintenance services to customers nationwide. Known for its customer-centric approach and innovative service offerings, VIOC has established a strong reputation in the automotive industry by prioritizing convenience and customer satisfaction. As part of the larger Valvoline family, VIOC operates numerous service centers that are equipped with the latest technology and staffed by trained professionals dedicated to ensuring every vehicle receives top-notch care. Valvoline Instant Oil Change prides itself on fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, welcoming team members from varied backgrounds including people of color, women, LGBTQIA+, veterans, and persons with disabilities, to build a vibrant and supportive team culture.
The role of Assistant Service Center Manager (ASCM) at VIOC is designed for a dynamic leader passionate about both automotive service and team development. Serving as the right hand to the Service Center Manager, the ASCM plays a critical role in building and leading a high-performance team that sets VIOC apart through exceptional service quality and customer experience. This position involves hands-on work with vehicles, performing oil changes and other maintenance services while also managing and supporting the service center team. The ASCM is responsible for advising, training, and supervising hourly employees to enhance their skills and foster a welcoming and efficient work environment.
The position offers competitive weekly pay starting at $20.25 per hour and provides a flexible work schedule that excludes late evenings and holidays, supporting work-life balance. Paid on-the-job training is provided, making this an ideal opportunity even for those without prior automotive experience. Additional benefits include paid time off (PTO), holiday pay, tuition and certification assistance, and access to a free online university, empowering employees to pursue ongoing education and career advancement. VIOC offers comprehensive medical and prescription drug coverage with Health Savings Account contributions, as well as dental, vision, and 401(k) savings plans featuring a 100% match up to 5%. The company also offers unique perks such as back-up child and elder care, company-provided uniforms and tools, and a 50% discount on Valvoline Instant Oil Change automotive services.
The ASCM contributes significantly to the operational success of the service center by supporting the Service Center Manager in daily management activities, including inventory oversight, labor management, and financial performance monitoring. This role requires a leader who can create a positive first impression for guests, build trust to encourage repeat business, and maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment. The ASCM also ensures compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards and facilitates an inclusive workplace where all team members can thrive and develop their careers. Valvoline Instant Oil Change is dedicated to promoting from within and provides clear pathways for career growth, supported by award-winning training programs and a commitment to fairness and safety. Prospective candidates are welcomed regardless of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, veteran status, or disability status. Reasonable accommodations are available throughout the recruitment process to support applicants with disabilities, underscoring VIOC's dedication to accessibility and equal opportunity.
