The company takes pride in embracing family values and creating a strong community, where people are inspired to improve their lives both personally and professionally. With a passionate dedication to its employees, Panda Express is deeply committed to the professional and personal development of its associates, offering comprehensive training, mentorship, and a supportive environment. This commitment reflects in their belief in fostering a workplace culture that values diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity, ensuring that every associate feels valued and empowered to succeed.

The role of Assistant Manager at Panda Express is a vital leadership position within the store management team. The company provides rigorous and hands-on paid training programs, typically lasting three or more weeks, to ensure the candidate is fully prepared to lead and contribute to the store's success. The Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of food safety, customer service, and operational excellence, while fostering a positive and engaging work environment. The position offers competitive compensation, including a pay range of $22.5 to $25.5 per hour, with the actual pay determined by factors such as work location and experience.

Panda Express also offers an attractive benefits package aimed at supporting the health and well-being of its associates. These benefits include medical, vision, dental insurance, voluntary short-term disability, cancer income protection insurance, and a 401K plan with company match. Paid time off, paid holidays, bereavement and funeral leave, along with a Leave Share Program, provide employees with time for rest and personal life balance. Employees enjoy free meals while working, discounts at theme parks and gyms, and opportunities to give back to their communities. The organization encourages continuous learning by providing ongoing career and leadership development programs, scholarships, and education assistance. Furthermore, Panda Express is committed to creating a safe and accommodating workplace, adhering to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and providing reasonable accommodations as needed.

This role is suitable for individuals who are flexible and willing to work within a 50-mile radius of store locations and have the ability to work varied schedules, including weekends. Candidates should be Serve Safe certified, certified in food safety, and exhibit strong communication skills and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The position involves physical demands, such as standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in hot, noisy kitchen conditions.
