Job Description

Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) is a leading automotive service provider known for its commitment to delivering fast, reliable, and high-quality oil changes and other vehicle maintenance services. As part of the larger Valvoline brand, VIOC operates numerous service centers across the country, each designed to provide customers with a seamless and satisfying experience. The company prides itself on being a customer-centric establishment that prioritizes safety, performance, and environmental responsibility while fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace. Valvoline’s focus on innovation and training ensures that its staff is well-prepared to meet the evolving needs of its clientele.

The Assistant Service Center Manager (ASCM) role at Valvoline Instant Oil Change is a pivotal position within the service center's leadership team. Reporting directly to the Service Center Manager, the ASCM acts as the right hand in leading daily operations and nurturing a high-performance team that stands out in the competitive automotive service market. This role is instrumental in differentiating the VIOC experience through excellent customer service and operational excellence. The ASCM is responsible not only for hands-on vehicle maintenance duties, including oil changes and additional car services, but also for managing, training, and supervising hourly employees to foster a productive and engaged workforce.

This position is ideal for individuals passionate about leadership and automotive services who seek a dynamic environment where they can grow professionally. Valvoline offers competitive weekly pay starting at $21.25 per hour, with a flexible schedule that avoids late evenings and holidays, making it a desirable position for individuals looking for work-life balance. Importantly, no previous automotive experience is required as the company provides paid on-the-job training, empowering employees to develop their skills within a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Valvoline is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive workplace culture that encourages applications from people of diverse backgrounds, including people of color, women, LGBTQIA+, veterans, and persons with disabilities. The ASCM role reflects this commitment by helping to establish a positive work atmosphere that values every team member’s contributions. Key responsibilities include not only operational oversight but also mentoring and leading the team, maintaining a safe and clean work environment, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety policies, and supporting the Service Center Manager with inventory, labor, and financial performance metrics.

In addition to a rewarding role, Valvoline provides a comprehensive benefits package featuring paid time off, tuition and certification assistance, medical coverage with Health Savings Account contributions, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) savings plans with company match, backup child and elder care, company uniforms and tools, and substantial discounts on automotive services. This extensive support system underscores Valvoline’s dedication to employee satisfaction and career advancement, with clear pathways for growth within the organization. Valvoline Instant Oil Change truly represents a career destination where individuals can thrive, make an impact, and be part of a community that values integrity, respect, and opportunity.
