The role of a Manager at Flynn Panera is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing the high standards that define Panera Bread cafes. These upscale, friendly cafes are recognized for their artisan breads, made-to-order soups, salads, sandwiches, and specialty espresso beverages—all served in a grease and alcohol-free environment devoid of fryers and late-night hours. The Manager oversees operations that include supervising up to 75 staff members, ensuring excellence in customer service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. The role requires a balance of strategic planning, team leadership, and operational management. Job Requirements

  • Must have 2-3 years hospitality management experience
  • Degree or equivalent experience in hospitality or related field preferred
  • Food management certifications preferred
  • Must have a steady and stable employment track record
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to read and write effectively
  • Possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years hospitality management experience
  • Degree or equivalent experience in hospitality or hotel/restaurant management preferred
  • Food management certifications a plus
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage finances and budgets effectively
  • Experience in maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and quality
  • Demonstrated ability to create a positive and motivational work environment
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting

Job Duties

  • Taking responsibility for overall business performance including ordering, scheduling, labor management, marketing, facilities management, bakery operations, and catering
  • Analyzing and planning restaurant sales levels and profitability
  • Creating and executing plans for sustained profitability
  • Serving as primary conduit of information between associates and management team
  • Retaining and developing team members and managers
  • Managing budgets and controlling costs
  • Coordinating entire restaurant operation during scheduled shifts
  • Greeting customers and conducting table visits to ensure satisfaction
  • Inspiring associates to have fun and be authentic while maintaining high productivity
  • Coaching and mentoring associates through one-on-ones, performance documentation, and reviews
  • Anticipating and resolving problems proactively
  • Serving as primary resource for resolving associate questions
  • Ensuring associates are properly trained and competent in all aspects of food service and customer support
  • Recruiting and training staff to meet staffing par levels
  • Operating within company guidelines, cultural values, and ethical business practices
  • Promoting and embodying Flynn Panera's core values and beliefs
