In the absence of the General Manager, the Assistant Manager holds full accountability for the restaurant's performance and operations. The AM assists in recruiting, training, and retaining staff, while also implementing and monitoring cash control, inventory management, labor deployment, marketing initiatives, and compliance with various regulatory and company standards.

The Assistant Manager must be skilled in communication, problem-solving, and decision-making to lead employees effectively and resolve immediate issues. Job Duties

  • Direct efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products for prompt delivery within established speed of service guidelines
  • Motivate and direct team members and Shift Supervisors to exceed Guest expectations with fast and friendly service in clean surroundings
  • Supervise and train team members and Shift Supervisors on team stations, restaurant products, processes and policies
  • Follow cash control and security procedures and help implement marketing plans, maintain inventory, manage labor, and apply financial reports across shifts to enhance restaurant results
  • Assist General Manager in enforcing compliance with government regulations, company policies, employment law, food safety, and security protocols across all restaurant activities
  • Recruit, hire, train, and retain effective team talent with decisions or recommendations on hiring and advancement
  • Make decisions or recommendations on the discipline and terminations of team members
  • Work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ensure prompt and regular attendance for assigned shifts, meetings and training
  • Make guests feel special
  • Perform other duties as assigned by General Manager, District Manager, or company leadership
