The role of an Applebee's® Assistant Manager within Flynn Group is a dynamic and engaging position that involves active participation in all aspects of restaurant operations. As an Assistant Manager, responsibilities span operational oversight, staff management, guest relations, and adherence to company policies and standards. The ideal candidate will also engage in staff development, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and coaching. The ability to foster teamwork and motivate employees toward high performance is essential. Constant attention to operational details, including quality control, cost management, and regulatory compliance, further defines this position. Moreover, the Assistant Manager is expected to be hands-on, ready to assist in any team member position as needed, from cooking and bartending to seating guests.

This role offers competitive compensation ranging from $21.10 to $25 per hour, approximately $60,000 to $71,500 annually based on a 50-hour workweek, with potential eligibility for monthly bonuses depending on location. Job Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications preferred
  • Ability to handle stress and resolve problems efficiently
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Effective communication abilities
  • Willingness to work various shifts including weekends
  • Capability to stand for up to 10 hours and safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Dexterity for using small tools and equipment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
  • Cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of our core values and beliefs
  • Ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
  • Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
  • Maintains departmental inventory levels
  • Ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks
  • Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
