Job Description

This job posting is for a restaurant that is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, separate from Jack in the Box Inc. This means that if hired, you will be employed directly by the independent franchisee responsible for all employment matters including hiring, firing, wages, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling within the restaurant. This setup provides a unique opportunity to work closely within a distinct operational structure, empowering you to directly influence the local team and restaurant success.

The establishment operates within the fast-food industry, focusing on delivering high-quality food and an exceptional guest experience. The brand is widely recognized for its commitment to innovation in menu offerings and customer service excellence. The franchise model supports both local autonomy and brand consistency, aiming to uphold the high standards associated with the Jack in the Box brand.

The position available is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, either in conjunction with or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. This role includes using discretion in daily management decisions and bearing accountability to ensure the effective execution of the Service Profit Chain and the Brand Promise. This position also carries the responsibility to partner with the Restaurant Manager in analyzing operational and financial performance, identifying trends, and implementing action plans to increase sales and profitability. You will monitor costs and adherence to budgets, executing strategies that positively impact the restaurant’s financial health.

The job demands strong leadership qualities such as fostering a positive culture, demonstrating integrity, honesty, and trust while promoting the Jack in the Box values. Effective communication skills and the ability to manage under pressure are essential. You will also be expected to serve as a role model for training, coaching, and developing staff, ensuring the team’s growth aligns with the company’s standards and values.

Additionally, this role requires a passion for guest service, food quality, and safety compliance. You will need to be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage shifting priorities and multiple demands in a fast-paced environment. Your analytical skills will play a vital role in problem-solving and decision-making related to business management and guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate for this role should be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent (with a preference for higher education), be ServSafe certified, and have relevant management experience. Physical requirements include the ability to stand and walk most of the shift, lift moderate weights, operate restaurant equipment, and drive when necessary.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a dynamic management role in a well-established restaurant setting, offering room for growth and development within the franchise system. If you have a strong commitment to service excellence, team development, and business management, this position could be the perfect fit.
