Job Description
Panda Express, a leader in the American Chinese fast-casual dining industry, is seeking dynamic and experienced leaders to join their store management team as Assistant Managers. Panda Express is a proud part of Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., which was founded in Glendale, California, in 1983. Over the decades, Panda Express has grown to become the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States, with approximately 2,800 locations globally. The company is widely recognized for its commitment to providing exceptional Asian dining experiences while fostering a culture where associates are both professionally and personally developed. Panda Express operates with strong family values and a supportive community environment, dedicated to ensuring its team members are set up for success.
At Panda Express, the role of an Assistant Manager is pivotal in driving the success of each store location. The Assistant Manager supports the overall operation, including critical responsibilities such as hiring, managing, and directing associates to meet financial goals and deliver outstanding customer service. New Assistant Managers undergo a comprehensive leadership training program lasting three or more weeks, designed to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge for success. The role demands leadership, operational management, and a passion for creating a positive guest experience. Assistant Managers work in a fast-paced, energetic environment and must adapt fluidly to changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
The company offers a generous compensation package with bonus opportunities, comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and voluntary insurance benefits for full-time associates. Additional perks include paid time off, paid holidays, bereavement leave, the Leave Share Program, and 401K with company match. Associates enjoy free meals during shifts, discounts on theme parks and gym memberships, and valuable opportunities to give back to their communities. Panda Express encourages continuous career growth and leadership development with hands-on paid training, continuing education assistance, scholarships, and opportunities for advancement within management. They also offer a lucrative associate referral bonus and income protection programs including disability, life, and AD&D insurance. This role offers a unique opportunity to build a rewarding career in a well-established, family-oriented company that values its people and their development.
