BURGER KING is a globally recognized fast-food restaurant chain that has been serving high-quality, great-tasting, and affordable food since its founding in 1954. As the second largest fast food hamburger chain in the world, BURGER KING is famous as the original HOME OF THE WHOPPER. The brand's long-standing commitment to premium ingredients, signature recipes, and family-friendly dining experiences has contributed to over 50 years of successful operation and wide international acclaim. Each day, more than 11 million guests around the world choose BURGER KING for their dining needs, appreciating the consistent quality and welcoming environment. BURGER KING prides itself on delivering excellent customer service while maintaining operational excellence through dedicated teams and a clear focus on profitability and growth.
The Assistant Manager (AM) at BURGER KING plays a crucial leadership role within the restaurant, acting as the key operations leader responsible for driving profitability, guest service, people development, and overall restaurant management. Reporting directly to the Restaurant General Manager (RGM), the Assistant Manager supports the management of daily restaurant operations, helping to ensure key performance indicators are met or exceeded. This role involves overseeing a dedicated team of 20 to 45 employees, including Hourly Shift Coordinators and Team Members, with a strong focus on coaching and development. The Assistant Manager is instrumental in maintaining the smooth and efficient functioning of the restaurant by ensuring compliance with operational and brand standards, driving speed-of-service goals, and managing inventory and cash control procedures. As a hands-on leader, the AM may also perform duties of the Shift Coordinator when necessary to maintain service continuity.
This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with prior quick service restaurant experience who are passionate about leadership, operational excellence, and providing exceptional guest experiences. The Assistant Manager position demands flexibility, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support the dynamic needs of the restaurant. With a high school diploma or GED required and some college preferred, candidates are ideally equipped with skills in P&L understanding and management, leadership, and guest service principles. The role fosters a rewarding work environment where proactive management and team collaboration drive the ongoing success of the BURGER KING brand and its commitment to customers and employees alike.
