Job Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications are a plus
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • Ability to stand and exert mobility up to 10 hours
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively
  • Possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment

Job Duties

  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
  • Cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
  • Ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
  • Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
  • Maintains departmental inventory levels
  • Ensures product preparation and presentation meeting company standards by performing line checks
  • Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
  • Maintains effective safety and security programs
  • Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
  • Performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
  • Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members
  • Promotes training procedures for new managers
  • Helps maintain a trained staff through employment orientation and training sessions
  • Participates in employee development using One-on-One and performance documentation
  • Assesses employee efficiency and provides fair feedback
  • Monitors employee performance and documents disciplinary situations
  • Assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures
  • Controls costs in assigned department
  • Ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations
  • Drives food and liquor inventories and is accountable for completion
  • Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
  • Assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and company standards
  • Provides a role model for managers and employees
  • Develops self on all store related technology
  • Works in all positions and assists as needed
  • Uses the Management Development Program for growth
