The Assistant Manager role is integral to our restaurant management team, reporting directly to the General Manager. The Assistant Manager contributes significantly to the success of the business by directing and controlling restaurant operations, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality food and service, and maintaining positive guest relations.
In this role, the Assistant Manager focuses on multiple critical functions including managing team members effectively, advocating for a supportive team environment, and ensuring compliance with food safety and health regulations. Responsibilities also include overseeing daily restaurant activities on a shift-by-shift basis, promoting sales through marketing strategies and brand initiatives, and managing costs through awareness and control efforts.
The Assistant Manager is expected to advocate for prompt and friendly service, ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverage orders through various channels such as dine-in, takeout, online ordering, curbside pickup, or delivery, and maintain a safe and welcoming dining environment. The role requires careful attention to detail with respect to inspection and maintenance of dining areas, food preparation, and storage to meet stringent standards.
This leadership position also emphasizes team development through recruitment, training, evaluation, and motivation of new and existing team members. - maintain and inspect dining room, food receiving, food holding, preparation, production, and storage areas to ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
- correct unsafe practices or conditions
- complete daily paperwork and projects promptly
- comply with cash control policies and procedures and ensure all managers, supervisors, and team members comply
- drive positive labor results through proactive scheduling and adaptation to business trends
- control operating costs by promoting cost awareness
- recruit and train new team members
