Job Description

Panda Express is a renowned leader in the American Chinese restaurant industry, widely recognized for its exceptional Asian dining experiences. Established in 1983 in Glendale, California, Panda Express has evolved into the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant chain with nearly 2,800 locations worldwide. The company prides itself on its strong commitment to family values and fostering a workplace environment where employees are inspired to improve their lives both professionally and personally. Embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion, Panda Express is dedicated to building a community where every associate feels valued and has equal opportunity to thrive.

Panda Express is actively seeking experienced professionals to join their store management team as Assistant Managers. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth and successful operation of a single Panda Express store. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of store management including hiring, managing, and directing team members to meet financial objectives and deliver a superior guest experience. To support your success, Panda Express provides comprehensive paid Store Management Leadership Training lasting three or more weeks, combined with ongoing mentorship and continuous leadership development within a supportive Panda community.

The role offers an exciting career path with opportunities to grow into higher management positions, enhanced by hands-on paid training and continuous education assistance including scholarships. Alongside a generous compensation package with bonus potential, the company offers outstanding benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance, 401K with company match, paid time off, and employee discounts. Working at Panda Express means joining a company that not only prioritizes your career growth but also invests in your well-being and work-life balance.

In this role, your day-to-day responsibilities will include overseeing store operations to ensure financial targets are met, managing and motivating associates to maintain high standards of service, and fostering an environment that promotes teamwork and customer satisfaction. Your leadership will directly influence the store’s success, requiring you to be adaptable, organized, and customer-focused. The physical demands of the role include standing for extended periods, working in a fast-paced and sometimes hot kitchen environment, and occasionally lifting items up to 50 pounds.

Panda Express is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to providing a discrimination-free workplace and reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities. The company values employees who are flexible, communicative, and capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. If you are passionate about leadership and ready to contribute to a brand with a strong heritage and bright future, Panda Express invites you to apply and become a part of their family-oriented team.
