The Assistant Manager position is a key leadership role designed to assist the Restaurant General Manager in overseeing the daily operations of a single restaurant unit. The Assistant Manager acts as a secondary operations leader, strategically involved in inventory management, team motivation, guest interaction, and fostering a positive work environment.

In this role, the Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing inventory costs through daily and weekly counts, placing and receiving inventory orders, and ensuring the regular maintenance of the restaurant facility and equipment according to company standards. The role entails enforcing cash control and security procedures to safeguard financial transactions and assets.

Additionally, the Assistant Manager will focus on creating memorable experiences for guests by addressing complaints and proactively reaching out to customers to resolve issues. Motivating and directing the team toward exceeding guest expectations with fast, friendly service in a clean and welcoming environment is a core responsibility. This role also requires partnering closely with the Restaurant General Manager to develop and implement action plans aimed at improving guest satisfaction metrics.

People development is a vital part of the Assistant Manager’s duties. This includes recruiting and interviewing potential employees, conducting orientations for new hires, monitoring employee schedules, managing onboarding processes, and ensuring a positive and productive culture within the restaurant team. By creating servant leaders and fostering teamwork, the Assistant Manager supports the overall success and sustainability of the restaurant.

Operational leadership includes directing the team towards meeting key performance indicators (KPIs), maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring compliance with brand guidelines. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role in the restaurant industry

Job Duties
