Founded in Glendale, California, in 1983, this family-owned restaurant group has grown to become the largest American Chinese restaurant concept with nearly 2,800 locations worldwide. Panda Express prides itself on fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace where its associates can thrive and develop both personally and professionally. The organization is deeply committed to cultivating a family-oriented culture that values teamwork, growth, and community engagement. This dedication ensures that every guest receives exceptional Asian dining experiences, consistently delivered with care and excellence.
The Assistant Manager role at Panda Express offers an exciting opportunity for experienced leaders who are passionate about driving operational success and creating memorable guest experiences. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of a single store, including managing staff, hiring, training, and ensuring that financial goals are met. This position requires strong leadership abilities and a hands-on approach to managing team members and store processes. To equip you for success, Panda Express provides comprehensive store management leadership training programs lasting three or more weeks, complemented by ongoing mentorship and support from the Panda community. The role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $26.5 to $29.5 per hour, depending on location and experience, along with various bonus opportunities.
Working as an Assistant Manager at Panda Express means being part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment where adaptability, communication skills, and efficient conflict management are essential. You'll be responsible not only for maintaining high food safety standards, including Serve Safe certification, but also for upholding an inviting and efficient store atmosphere that enhances the customer experience. This is more than just a management job; it's a chance to grow your career within a globally recognized brand that supports continuous education, leadership development, and offers numerous benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance, retirement plans with company match, paid time off, and special employee discounts. Panda Express is a workplace that champions diversity, equal opportunity, and accessibility, ensuring that all associates are valued and supported throughout their career journeys.
