Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- ability to work various shifts, including weekends
- physical ability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
- able to lift up to 50 pounds safely
- strong communication skills
- willingness to perform multiple roles as needed
- compliance with health and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- serve safe food and serve safe alcohol certifications preferred
- strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- ability to maintain high standards of customer service
- excellent problem-solving and stress management abilities
- effective communication and team development skills
- proficiency with store technology
- knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling regulations
- ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
Job Duties
- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
- cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
- ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints
- ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits
- maintains departmental inventory levels
- ensures product preparation and presentation meeting company standards by performing line checks
- effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- maintains effective safety and security programs
- promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
- performs routine maintenance and immediately reports needed repairs
- promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
- promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- helps maintain a trained staff through employment orientation, training sessions, employee meetings and company policies
- participates in employee development using One-on-One and performance documentation, contributes to written evaluations
- assesses employee efficiency, provides fair feedback regularly, and addresses areas of development
- monitors employee performance and documents situations requiring disciplinary action
- assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures
- responsible for controlling costs in assigned department
- complies with local, state and federal laws and regulations
- drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories as requested
- prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
- assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department standards
- provides a role model for managers and employees
- develops self on all store-related technology
- willing and able to work in all positions and assist team members as needed
- uses the Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth
