Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • ability to work various shifts, including weekends
  • physical ability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
  • able to lift up to 50 pounds safely
  • strong communication skills
  • willingness to perform multiple roles as needed
  • compliance with health and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • serve safe food and serve safe alcohol certifications preferred
  • strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • ability to maintain high standards of customer service
  • excellent problem-solving and stress management abilities
  • effective communication and team development skills
  • proficiency with store technology
  • knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling regulations
  • ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team

Job Duties

  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
  • cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
  • ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints
  • ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits
  • maintains departmental inventory levels
  • ensures product preparation and presentation meeting company standards by performing line checks
  • effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
  • maintains effective safety and security programs
  • promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
  • performs routine maintenance and immediately reports needed repairs
  • promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
  • promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • helps maintain a trained staff through employment orientation, training sessions, employee meetings and company policies
  • participates in employee development using One-on-One and performance documentation, contributes to written evaluations
  • assesses employee efficiency, provides fair feedback regularly, and addresses areas of development
  • monitors employee performance and documents situations requiring disciplinary action
  • assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures
  • responsible for controlling costs in assigned department
  • complies with local, state and federal laws and regulations
  • drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories as requested
  • prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
  • assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department standards
  • provides a role model for managers and employees
  • develops self on all store-related technology
  • willing and able to work in all positions and assist team members as needed
  • uses the Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth
