Job Description

Urban Air Adventure Parks is the preeminent indoor adventure park and the market leader in location-based entertainment. Urban Air Bee Cave, a location within the Urban Air Adventure Parks franchise, is currently seeking an Assistant Manager. This leadership role is essential to maintaining and developing the operational excellence and guest satisfaction that define the Urban Air brand. The Assistant Manager motivates staff, instills accountability, and drives results to achieve success in the position while supporting the overall culture. This role provides leadership, supervision, and strategic direction on key initiatives, operational standards, and business results.

The Assistant Manager is responsible for fostering a high-performing team environment that consistently delivers outstanding customer service. This position includes assisting in staff recruitment and retention, coaching, discipline, and ensuring that all training programs are effectively executed. Additionally, the Assistant Manager develops weekly schedules, ensuring proper staffing and lead coverage to meet business needs and enhance the guest experience. Acting as a motivation leader and brand ambassador, the Assistant Manager leverages individual strengths of team members to maximize productivity and guest satisfaction.

Further responsibilities include selecting and developing staff and trainers for increased responsibility or internal promotion into leadership roles, executing employee recognition and incentive programs, managing inventory and controlling expenses, and overseeing all operational aspects including entertainment, food, beverage, attractions, and property inspections. Maintaining a safe, clean, and secure environment for guests and staff is a top priority, as is continuously improving operational execution through adherence to Urban Air’s standards and philosophies.

This position demands a professional, energetic, and self-motivated individual with strong communication skills, the ability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays, and a passion for fostering a positive team culture. The Assistant Manager must also demonstrate adaptability, enthusiasm, sound judgment, and an appreciation for diversity within the workplace. The role carries physical demands such as working in a fast-paced environment, standing for long periods, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Job Requirements

  • Work days, nights, and/or weekends as required

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality is a must (theme parks, family entertainment centers, hotels, resorts, casinos, or restaurants)
  • 1+ year supervisory or management experience required
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred
  • Brand ambassador and culture champion
  • Demonstrated ability of developing team members in areas of responsibility
  • Must be professional, energetic, self-motivated, able to motivate others, and have a positive attitude
  • Computer skills essential - Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Professional grooming and conduct must be constantly displayed to set an example for staff
  • Ability to enthusiastically interact with others
  • Adaptability, flexibility, general enthusiasm for the business
  • Strong communication skills
  • ability to write and verbally communicate in a clear and concise manner
  • Willing to learn and adapt to changes or challenges

Job Duties

  • Cultivate a team environment that provides exceptional customer service while directing the team and ensuring all staff members perform at a consistently high level
  • Assist in hiring, retention of staff, coaching, discipline
  • ensure execution of staff training programs
  • Develop weekly schedules and ensure staffing levels and lead coverage is appropriate to meet the needs of the business and maximize the customer experience
  • Lead and influence staff through effective motivation, leveraging individual strengths to ensure customer satisfaction and maximum productivity
  • Select, develop staff and trainers for more responsibility or internal promotability into a leadership program
  • Ensure execution of all employee recognition and incentive programs as directed
  • Assist with inventory and controlling expenses
  • Responsible for all aspects of the operation including entertainment, food, beverage, attractions and property inspections
  • Maintain a safe, clean and secure environment for all guests and staff
  • Continuously improves operational execution through attention to detail and adherence to Urban Air operating standards and philosophies
  • Other duties as assigned
