The Shift Leader position at Cicis Pizza is pivotal in ensuring smooth restaurant operations during each shift. Shift Leaders are responsible for maintaining compliance with company standards in all operational areas including product preparation, customer relations, team management, and safety protocols. They lead by example, demonstrating exemplary operations skills to ensure every product served meets Cicis' quality guidelines and guests’ expectations.

Beyond food preparation, Shift Leaders are expected to handle guest concerns professionally and promptly. They actively seek guest feedback, share insights with their team, and use this information to improve operations and foster customer loyalty. Training and coaching team members on quality standards and operational procedures is a significant part of their role, utilizing tools such as the Cicis Operations Manual and Team Member Handbook.

Supervising a restaurant team, the Shift Leader ensures adequate staffing levels based on projected sales, reinforces uniform and appearance standards, and cultivates a positive atmosphere of teamwork, energy, and enjoyment. They also contribute to sales growth by encouraging product knowledge and effective sales techniques among team members.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate exemplary operations skills in all aspects of the restaurant including making quality products for our guests and ensuring each product meets Cicis standards and reflects the guest's order
  • Professionally and promptly respond to all guest concerns or issues
  • Solicit guest feedback, share feedback with team, and use feedback to improve operations and build brand loyalty
  • Communicate, train and promote quality standards to team members by utilizing all available tools including the Cicis Operations Manual and Team Member Handbook
  • Supervise a restaurant team, maintain adequate shift staffing levels according to projected sales, properly train team members to exceed guest expectations, ensure compliance with uniform and appearance standards, and coach for improved performance
  • Contribute to sales goals by providing prompt and friendly guest service
  • building sales through team member product training and sales execution
  • Contribute to overall profit goals by effectively utilizing the POS and other systems
  • Execute cash management duties
  • Assist in the management of inventory levels using the company's systems and guidelines to minimize waste and loss
