Job Description

Panda Express, established in 1983 in Glendale, California, has grown to become the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in America. With nearly 2,300 locations worldwide, Panda Express is dedicated to delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences and fostering an organizational culture that inspires individuals to enhance their personal and professional lives. As a leader in the fast-casual dining industry, Panda Express prides itself on its commitment to family values, inclusivity, and continuous growth, making it a preferred employer for those seeking a rewarding career in restaurant management.

The company is currently seeking experienced leaders to join its store management team as Assistant Managers. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about leadership and customer service, and who are eager to contribute to the success and growth of a Panda Express location. The position entails assisting in the operation of a single store by managing and directing associates, achieving financial goals, and ensuring an outstanding guest experience. To prepare candidates for success, Panda Express offers a comprehensive paid Store Management Leadership Training program lasting three or more weeks, along with ongoing mentorship and support from the Panda community.

As an Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in building a high-performing team that embodies the company’s values and maintains its reputation for quality food and excellent customer service. Your responsibilities will include hiring and training staff, overseeing daily operations, and implementing strategies to meet financial objectives. Panda Express emphasizes the importance of leadership development and provides continuous education opportunities, scholarships, and career advancement programs to help you grow within the company.

The company offers a competitive compensation package with bonus opportunities, comprehensive medical, vision, dental, and voluntary insurance plans for full-time associates, as well as a 401K plan with company match. Additional benefits include paid time off, paid holidays, bereavement leave, discounts at theme parks and gym memberships, and an inclusive Leave Share Program. Panda Express also fosters a supportive work environment that values diversity and equal opportunity, complying with all federal, state, and local laws to maintain a workplace that is accessible and accommodating to all employees.

If you are someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading teams, and is passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences, Panda Express offers a dynamic and rewarding career path. Join a company that is not only focused on operational excellence but also deeply invested in your growth and well-being. Panda Express is more than just a restaurant; it is a community where every employee is valued, opportunities for growth are abundant, and the pursuit of excellence is a shared mission.
