The role of an Applebee's Assistant Manager within Flynn Group is both dynamic and pivotal to the success of individual restaurant operations. This position involves hands-on management of day-to-day activities within the restaurant, ensuring every guest and staff member enjoys a rewarding experience. Job Requirements

At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
ability to work various shifts including weekends
ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to ten hours
ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
ability to read and write to facilitate communication
possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment
willingness to work in all restaurant positions as needed

Job Qualifications

At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications (preferred)

Job Duties

Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
cultivates a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
maintains departmental inventory levels
ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks
effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
maintains effective safety and security programs
promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
performs routine maintenance and immediately reports to the General Manager/Area Director of needed repairs
promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team member and management candidates
promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
helps maintain a trained staff through employment orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings and implementation of company policy and training systems
participates in employee development using One-on-One and performance documentation and contributes to written evaluations
assesses efficiency of employees, provides fair feedback, and works on areas of development
monitors acceptable employee performance and documents disciplinary or corrective action
assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures
controls cost in assigned department
ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines
drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories and is accountable for completion
prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and company standards
provides a role model for managers and employees
develops self on all store related technology
willing and able to work in all positions and assist in team member positions as needed
uses the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills and proficiencies
