Job Description

Panda Express, a renowned leader in the fast-casual dining industry, is part of the Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., a family-owned American Chinese Restaurant concept founded in 1983 in Glendale, California. Over nearly four decades, Panda Express has expanded to nearly 2,300 locations globally, earning recognition as the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States. The company's mission centers on delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences while fostering an organizational culture that inspires individuals to improve their lives both professionally and personally. This commitment manifests in a workplace environment that values family principles, offers continuous development, and impacts both internal teams and the communities it serves.

Panda Express is currently seeking experienced leaders to join its store management team as Assistant Managers. This role is pivotal in driving the operational success of a single store, involving responsibilities like managing and directing associates, hiring staff, achieving financial objectives, and ensuring excellent guest experiences. Panda Express is dedicated to the growth and success of its team members, providing paid Store Management Leadership Training, mentorship, and robust support from its caring community. New Assistant Managers will undergo an in-depth store leadership training program lasting three or more weeks to fully prepare them for the challenges and opportunities of the role.

As an Assistant Manager, your day-to-day responsibilities will span from staffing decisions to executing operational plans that align with corporate standards. The role demands flexibility, leadership acumen, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has a commitment to customer service excellence and the skills to motivate a team effectively. Panda Express rewards such dedication with a comprehensive benefits package that includes free meals during shifts, competitive compensation with bonuses, medical, vision, and dental insurance options, paid time off, retirement plans with company matching, and many more perks.

In addition to attractive benefits, Panda Express fosters a culture of continuous learning and career advancement. Opportunities to grow into higher management positions are actively supported through ongoing leadership development programs, scholarships, career education assistance, and referral bonuses. The company also promotes community engagement, encouraging team members to give back.

Importantly, Panda Express embraces diversity and inclusion, functioning as an Equal Opportunity Employer compliant with federal, state, and local laws. The company offers reasonable accommodations throughout the hiring process for individuals with disabilities, underscoring its commitment to a supportive and accessible workplace for all potential employees. This role also requires physical endurance to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment that involves standing for long periods, lifting weights up to 50 pounds, and operating kitchen tools safely and efficiently.

Joining Panda Express as an Assistant Manager means becoming part of a supportive family dedicated to professional growth, operational excellence, and community values. This is a unique career opportunity that blends leadership development with the rewarding experience of working for a respected and successful industry leader.
