Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
  • ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • capacity to stand and move for up to 10 hours
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
  • ability to read and write effectively
  • physical dexterity for handling tools and equipment
  • willingness to work in all restaurant positions as needed

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food certification is a plus
  • Serve Safe Alcohol certification is a plus

Job Duties

  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
  • cultivates a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
  • ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
  • ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
  • maintains departmental inventory levels
  • ensures product preparation and presentation meeting company standards by performing line checks
  • effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
  • maintains effective safety and security programs
  • promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
  • performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs to General Manager/Area Director
  • promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
  • promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • maintains a trained staff through employment orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings and implementation of company policies and training systems
  • participates in employee development using one-on-one and performance documentation, contributes to written evaluations
  • assesses employee efficiency, provides regular feedback, works on employee development
  • monitors employee performance and documents disciplinary or corrective actions
  • assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures
  • controls cost in assigned department
  • complies with local, state and federal laws and regulations
  • drives food and liquor inventories at the Area Director/General Manager’s request
  • prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
  • assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
  • provides a role model for managers and employees
  • develops self on all store-related technology
  • works in all positions and assists team members as needed
  • uses Management Development Program for leadership skills growth
