Job Description
Our client is a well-established player in the quick service restaurant (QSR) industry, known for its dedication to customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and team development. The company operates multiple locations, providing fast, high-quality food service to a diverse customer base. Committed to maintaining stringent operational standards and fostering a positive workplace culture, the company emphasizes safety, compliance, and employee growth. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about restaurant management and delivering superior guest experiences.
The Assistant Manager position is a pivotal role within the restaurant's leadership team, responsible for assisting in the overall management of daily operations. This includes ensuring adherence to company guest service standards, auditing procedures, administrative responsibilities, human resource management, as well as the enforcement of safety and security policies. The Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in training and developing the restaurant team to meet both short-term and long-term business goals effectively. A key focus is placed on achieving 100 percent customer satisfaction, full compliance with company and government regulations — including food safety, labor laws, and in-store image standards — and safeguarding company assets such as cash, equipment, and inventory.
This role requires hands-on leadership to build a motivated and positive work environment, while also driving operational excellence through strong financial management tactics, including employee labor scheduling, oversight of food and supply costs, auditing, cash management, and bank deposits. The Assistant Manager is accountable for ensuring the restaurant meets or exceeds company standards for cleanliness, maintenance, and safety, with a direct impact on the customer experience and overall restaurant success.
The position also involves critical people development responsibilities such as recruitment, onboarding using company-approved orientation programs, and facilitating ongoing training and development plans. Performance management is a key element, with duties including conducting performance reviews, providing constructive feedback, documenting employee performance, and handling disciplinary actions as necessary. Maintaining open communication channels and problem resolution mechanisms across all shifts is essential for sustaining a productive and respectful workplace.
The Assistant Manager is expected to lead by example, ensuring that all service delivery aligns with the company’s guest service standards and customer complaint processes are effectively managed using company tools like BLAST. Additionally, the role requires proactive engagement with marketing initiatives, tracking business generators and traffic patterns to optimize staffing and operational efficiency.
Compliance with all municipal, state, and federal regulations is mandatory, covering food safety, health inspections, sanitation procedures, and proper documentation. The Assistant Manager must maintain operational updates, keep restaurant manuals current, and ensure the execution of proper opening, closing, and safety procedures consistently. Collaboration with restaurant management, internal and external vendors, and maintaining strong customer relationships to protect brand integrity are also critical components of the job.
This comprehensive role demands a high level of personal effectiveness, organizational skills, collaborative nature, and management effectiveness to handle multiple responsibilities independently, manage detailed operational tasks, and work effectively with diverse teams. Candidates with prior experience in restaurant management, specifically within the quick service sector, and with food safety certification, will find this opportunity especially rewarding. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required for positions that include driving duties.
If you are passionate about restaurant operations, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and strive to deliver excellence in customer service and team leadership, this Assistant Manager role offers a challenging and fulfilling career path within a respected and growing company.
