The role of Security/Loss Prevention Manager at Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel is pivotal to ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and hotel property. The successful candidate will assist in managing the daily functions of the security department, focusing on protecting property assets and ensuring compliance with legal and safety regulations. This involves maintaining essential logs, certifications, and documentation required by law and company standards. The position also includes assisting in staff training on emergency procedures such as fire prevention and accident prevention, ensuring preparedness for various scenarios that may arise. A key aspect of the role is balancing operational efficiency with guest and employee satisfaction while working within the operating budget.

Key responsibilities include conducting hazard and risk assessments, overseeing safety audits, and implementing procedures to secure the property effectively. The manager will develop and enforce comprehensive shutdown procedures to secure all areas at appropriate times, maintain strict key control guidelines, and regularly inspect security equipment like CCTV systems, alarms, and duress alarms to ensure full functionality. Regular patrols encompassing all interior and exterior areas will be part of the job, alongside investigations of incidents related to guests and employees, management of emergency response processes, and supervision of shipment and receiving security.

The manager also plays an essential role in improving safety standards through collaborations with local law enforcement and emergency services and coordinating efforts of the Accident Prevention Committee and first aid programs. Additionally, monitoring claims processes related to general liability and workers’ compensation ensures protection of company assets. Exceptional customer service is a priority, with the manager expected to uphold quality standards, resolve disputes, and provide outstanding support to guests and employees alike. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in security, loss prevention, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Criminal Justice or related major
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in security, loss prevention, or related professional area
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local safety laws and regulations
  • Ability to conduct hazard and risk assessments
  • Proficiency in security technology operations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work full time in a management capacity
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in security or loss prevention, or 2-year degree in Criminal Justice or related field with 1 year experience
  • Strong knowledge of security operations and safety regulations

Job Duties
