Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of experience in security, loss prevention, or related professional area
- OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Criminal Justice or related major
- Minimum 1 year of experience in security, loss prevention, or related professional area
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local safety laws and regulations
- Ability to conduct hazard and risk assessments
- Proficiency in security technology operations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work full time in a management capacity
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in security or loss prevention, or 2-year degree in Criminal Justice or related field with 1 year experience
- Strong knowledge of security operations and safety regulations
- Experience with hazard and risk assessments and OSHA compliance
- Ability to manage and train staff effectively
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Proficient in operating security technology such as CCTV and alarm systems
- Customer service oriented with a commitment to guest and employee satisfaction
- Ability to work within budget parameters and handle emergency situations calmly
Job Duties
- Assist in the management of daily security and loss prevention operations
- Maintain logs, certifications, and documents required by law and company standards
- Conduct hazard and risk assessments including OSHA and safety audits
- Develop and enforce shutdown procedures to secure the property
- Monitor and inspect CCTV equipment, alarmed doors, and duress alarms
- Perform patrols encompassing all areas of the property’s interior and exterior
- Investigate incidents related to guests and employees and manage emergency response
- Handle complaints, resolve disputes, and negotiate conflicts
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services
- Oversee Accident Prevention Committee and first aid programs
- Monitor claims processes for general liability and workers’ compensation
