Fezzo's is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join their team as full-time and part-time kitchen workers. The position requires flexibility, with the ability to work weekdays, weekends, some holidays, and varied shifts including mornings and evenings. Pay starts at $12.00 per hour, making it an attractive job for individuals seeking reliable employment in the vibrant culinary industry.

As a kitchen worker at Fezzo's, you will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, performing prep work, and maintaining cleanliness throughout your shift. This includes tasks such as chopping, peeling vegetables, cutting meat, and ensuring all meal packaging meets guest specifications and packaging guidelines. You will be expected to handle food safely and efficiently, working under the guidance of managers and supervisors to meet the high standards of quality and service that Fezzo's is known for.

The role demands a strong knowledge of the food and beverage menu, excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and managers, and the physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts. A background in restaurant experience, preferably at least one year, is preferred, along with familiarity with various cooking procedures such as grilling, frying, and boiling. The ideal candidate will be able to follow sanitation protocols meticulously and contribute positively to the organized, clean workspace environment.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year restaurant experience preferred
  • Availability to work weekdays, weekends, some holidays, mornings and/or evenings
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Capable of following sanitation and safety procedures
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of restaurant experience preferred
  • Proven experience as a line cook
  • Experience using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
  • Knowledge of cooking procedures including grilling, frying, and boiling
  • Ability to follow all sanitation procedures

Job Duties

  • Completes prep work and cleaning duties before, during and after shifts
  • Prepare ingredients to use in cooking such as chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat
  • Prepare food safely, efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Ensure all meals are packaged correctly including guest needs and requests following packaging guidelines
  • Be knowledgeable of the food and beverage menu
  • Maintain a clean and organized work space
  • Perform duties delegated by manager or supervisors
  • Communicate effectively with team members and managers
  • Stand and/or walk throughout shifts and for long periods of time
