Job Description

Eaglewood Golf Course is a distinguished golf course located in North Salt Lake City, Utah, recognized for redefining traditional golf course dining with a from-scratch culinary program. Unlike typical golf course kitchens, Eaglewood is committed to elevating the dining experience by combining bold, thoughtful, and well-executed culinary techniques with a passion for quality. The food and beverage operation at Eaglewood has earned recognition from Club & Resort Chef Magazine for its innovative approach that blends elevated techniques with accessibility, treating golf course dining with the same respect and standards as any top-tier restaurant or resort property. The kitchen operates at a high volume, servicing daily grill meals as well as tournaments, weddings, banquets, and special events, all while maintaining exacting standards and avoiding shortcuts, canned goods, or uninspired menus. This creates an exciting, dynamic environment for culinary professionals who believe that golf course food can be both approachable and gourmet.

The position of Assistant Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef at Eaglewood Golf Course is a crucial role designed for a capable culinary professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. This role demands a hands-on, calm, and confident leader who can effectively handle real-time decision-making while supporting both the Executive Chef and Kitchen Manager. The individual in this role will oversee daily kitchen operations including the grill service, tournaments, and catered events, ensuring seamless execution, maintaining the highest standards, and leading kitchen staff with clear expectations and support. Serving as the right hand to the head chef, the Assistant Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef will manage schedules, supervise prep and service teams, enforce food safety standards, and help refine menus using a variety of culinary techniques. This role combines leadership and logistics with hands-on cooking, offering a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to the future of golf course dining in Utah. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and organized professional who values scratch-made cooking and is passionate about maintaining Eaglewood’s commitment to quality and innovation in a multi-outlet, high-volume environment. Leadership at Eaglewood encourages creativity and real decision-making, providing an empowering atmosphere for career growth and culinary excellence.
