The Assistant Kitchen Manager role at Salted is a key leadership position within the kitchen team, responsible for supporting the overall quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Beyond operational oversight, the Assistant Kitchen Manager helps in training, onboarding, and developing kitchen staff, ensuring that team members are skilled and motivated to uphold the company’s standards. Inventory management, conducting audits, and budget oversight are additional essential responsibilities, contributing directly to meeting financial and operational targets. The Assistant Kitchen Manager also assists with scheduling staff, managing payroll processes, supporting inventory counts, and handling daily labor management to optimize productivity. Technical proficiency is necessary to address equipment and technical issues promptly to keep the kitchen running smoothly. Additionally, this role involves assisting with catering order execution while maintaining standard kitchen service, demonstrating flexibility and multitasking abilities in a busy and evolving environment.

- Solid foundation in culinary skills including knife/prep work, flat-top cooking, and more
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Minimum of 2 years of kitchen experience
- Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience
