The role of Assistant Kitchen Manager at Salted is an exciting career opportunity for culinary professionals seeking to grow in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment. The position is full-time and includes shifts during the AM, PM, and Midshift hours with an hourly pay range of $25 to $30. This role plays a critical part in ensuring operational excellence within the kitchen by supporting quality control, food presentation standards, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. The Assistant Kitchen Manager collaborates closely with the Hospitality Team to guarantee excellent customer service and is instrumental in the onboarding, training, and development of kitchen staff.

In addition to culinary responsibilities, the Assistant Kitchen Manager aids in managing inventory, conducting audits, overseeing the kitchen budget, and meeting financial and operational targets. They are expected to ensure strict adherence to recipes and portion sizes to maintain consistency and control costs effectively. The role also requires addressing technical and equipment issues promptly, assisting with scheduling and payroll processing, and supporting inventory counts and labor management on a daily basis. Additionally, the Assistant Kitchen Manager plays a supportive role in executing catering orders without compromising regular kitchen operations.

Salted seeks candidates who bring at least two years of kitchen experience and a minimum of one year of leadership experience, combined with a solid foundation in culinary skills such as knife and prep work and flat-top cooking. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are essential.
