Job Description

goop Kitchen is a dynamic extension of the modern lifestyle brand, goop, founded by Gwyneth Paltrow in 2008. Officially launched in 2021, goop Kitchen operates as a "delivery-first" restaurant that embodies the brand's commitment to clean, health-conscious eating. With a sleek digital marketing approach, goop Kitchen utilizes culinary expertise and operational best practices sourced from some of the world's premier restaurants. Its innovative small-footprint model allows it to provide guests with easy access to nutritious and fantastic-tasting food anytime and anywhere. The mission of goop Kitchen is simple yet powerful: to be the first choice for customers seeking healthy, clean eating delivered with exceptional service and ease. The brand not only prioritizes quality ingredients and sustainable practices but also strives to create an elevated dining experience that nurtures the well-being of its customers.

The Assistant Kitchen Manager plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day culinary operations at goop Kitchen. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Kitchen Operations, this role requires a proactive leader who can maintain the high standards of the restaurant’s clean and health-conscious menu. The Assistant Kitchen Manager will oversee kitchen staff, ensuring all dishes meet recipe specifications, portion controls, and overall quality benchmarks. Beyond managing routine kitchen activities, this role actively supports innovation initiatives to continually refine and expand goop Kitchen’s offerings. Maintaining strict compliance with health department regulations and HACCP standards is a critical component of the job. Additionally, the Assistant Kitchen Manager is responsible for training and developing a skilled, motivated kitchen team, reinforcing a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. The position demands an organized, systems-oriented professional who is adept at managing inventory, food and labor costs, and food safety protocols in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Working within a collaborative and mission-driven culture, the Assistant Kitchen Manager has the opportunity to influence the operational success of goop Kitchen significantly and contribute meaningfully to the brand’s growth and reputation in the healthy dining space.
