Job Qualifications

  • Experience as an assistant kitchen manager, shift lead or BOH leader in a fast-paced environment
  • experience with SOP, procedures, and system implementation
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • computer savvy
  • highly organized and effective in a new restaurant opening environment
  • passion for sustainability and ingredient integrity
  • bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • based in San Jose area
  • ServSafe certified

Job Duties

  • Lead daily kitchen operations and uphold goop Kitchen’s culinary standards
  • train, coach, and develop a high-performing kitchen team
  • ensure recipe adherence, portion control, and consistent execution
  • maintain health department compliance, HACCP standards, and strict sanitation protocols
  • manage food and labor costs with a systems-driven approach
  • drive a culture of detect, fix, prevent and continuous improvement
  • assist with ordering, invoices, weekly inventory and end of week financial reports
