We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our vibrant culinary team. The Assistant Kitchen Manager will support the Executive Chef by managing back-of-house team members, overseeing food production, and handling important administrative responsibilities such as scheduling and inventory management. In this position, the Assistant Kitchen Manager will facilitate team development by participating in hiring processes and ensuring staffing goals are met. They will also manage ordering and receiving of key food items including produce and seafood, conduct regular inventory checks, and supervise daily operations such as butchering and portion control to maintain consistent food quality. The role offers a competitive salary range of USD $55,000 to USD $65,000 per year and is tailored for professionals who bring at least two years of full-service restaurant management experience to the table.

Job Requirements

  • Able to communicate in the primary language of the work location
  • Capable of reaching, bending, pushing, and pulling items for up to 2 hours daily
  • Ability to use fingers, hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively for up to 6 hours each day
  • Able to stand and move efficiently for several hours at a time
  • Must have good balance and be able to lift items frequently weighing up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of full-service restaurant management experience
  • In-depth kitchen knowledge, including butchering and portion control
  • An expert understanding of Iconic Hospitality principles
  • Solid communication and organizational skills
  • Understanding of Iconic Hospitality standards
  • Familiarity with prep duties, food storage, and cooling
  • Knowledge of food handling best practices
  • Proficient in butchering and portion control
  • Knowledge of POS/Micros systems
  • Experience with cash handling
  • Ability to manage food and labor costs effectively
  • Inventory control practices
  • Administrative task management
  • Purchasing procedures
  • Safety and sanitation protocols
  • Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized workspace

Job Duties

  • Support the Executive Chef in various responsibilities
  • Manage back-of-house team members and oversee food production
