The Assistant Kitchen Manager role at Salted is a full-time position, available across AM, PM, and Mid shifts, offering competitive hourly pay ranging from $23 to $28. This role is vital for ensuring that Salted maintains its high standards in food quality, presentation, and operational efficiency. The Assistant Kitchen Manager will be responsible for supporting kitchen operations, working closely with the Hospitality Team to deliver exceptional customer service, and upholding safety and health standards within the kitchen environment. Additionally, this role involves onboarding, training, and developing kitchen staff to build a strong, skilled team.
Key responsibilities include assisting with inventory management, conducting financial audits, and ensuring compliance with recipes and portion sizes to meet both operational and financial objectives. The Assistant Kitchen Manager will also play a critical role in scheduling staff, processing payroll, managing daily labor, and addressing equipment or technical issues. Furthermore, the position involves helping execute catering orders while maintaining seamless kitchen service. Job Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Minimum of 2 years of kitchen experience
- Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience
- Solid foundation in culinary skills, including knife/prep work, flat-top cooking, and more
