The role of Assistant Kitchen Manager at Chipotle is pivotal in maintaining the excellent standards of food quality, safety, and team leadership within the kitchen environment. Through proactive management of food quality and waste control, the role plays a central part in delivering an exceptional customer dining experience.

Job Duties

  • assure food quality through the precise cooking and preparation of meals according to order specifics and kitchen guidelines
  • manage the monitoring of food wastage and inventory levels, addressing any issues with food quality as necessary
  • enhance team cohesion between the back-of-house crew and front-of-house crew members
  • assist in the transformation of crew members into upcoming kitchen leaders
  • enhance customer service and operational efficiency by fostering effective communication with both crew members and patrons
  • ensure the kitchen area remains sanitary and well-kept
  • oversee the maintenance of kitchen devices to ensure they are in good condition and quickly fixed if any problems arise
  • follow all safety regulations to ensure the prevention of injuries and accidents
