Job Requirements

  • minimum of 3 years relevant experience
  • at least 1 year of supervisory experience
  • good communication skills in English
  • proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is advantageous
  • basic understanding of profit and loss management
  • good computer skills in MS applications
  • knowledge of workplace health and safety protocols
  • interest in merchandise management and inventory control
  • familiarity with kitchen tools and equipment
  • ability to interpret product labels
  • strong organizational and customer service skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • manage department performance and attain departmental goals
  • manage and supervise department daily operation and staff performance
  • provide coaching, on-the-job training, shadowing, guidance to department staff
  • supervise Kitchen Deli Assistants, ensure fair distribution of work and daily checklists are strictly executed
  • promote teamwork and create an inclusive working environment
  • manage product ordering process and execution
  • follow company pricing principles and collaborate with Merchandising Department on pricing strategies
  • conduct quality and inventory control
  • maintain cleanliness, hygiene, equipment and tools maintenance
  • oversee product quality, food safety, freshness and ensure FIFO practices
  • maintain and update UPC pricing and ensure proper product labeling
  • ensure BBQ, Hot Foods, Dim Sum, Sushi and others are properly packaged and displayed
  • lead by example by performing all hands-on duties required in the Kitchen Department
