Sho-Pai Tribes is a sovereign tribal government located in Owyhee, Nevada, on the Duck Valley Reservation. The organization represents the shared heritage of the Western Shoshone and Northern Paiute peoples while serving over 2,000 tribal members through a variety of services including health, education, finance, social services, natural resources, recreation, courts, and tribal administration. Job Requirements

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness and ability to travel for meetings and organizational needs

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or Psychology
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources
  • At least 2 years of full-cycle recruitment experience
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or THRP certification preferred
  • Experience administering employee benefits and responding to employee inquiries
  • Experience maintaining HR systems and employee records such as MIP or similar
  • Experience supporting HR operations, reporting, and compliance
  • Experience coordinating onboarding, orientation, and training initiatives
  • Ability to support employee relations and HR projects
  • Experience supervising or guiding HR team members

Job Duties

  • Managing full-cycle recruitment including sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews
  • Administering employee benefits programs and responding to employee inquiries
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and processing employment changes
  • Supporting onboarding processes and conducting employee orientations
  • Assisting with HR operations, reporting, and departmental projects
  • Overseeing HR functions in the absence of the Human Resources Director
  • Supporting training, development, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Assisting with compliance processes including drug testing and documentation
