The Assistant Housekeeping and Laundry Manager role at Phoebe Allentown is a pivotal position responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of the facility meet the highest standards. This position involves managing the day-to-day operations of the laundry room, which includes handling the processing and distribution of all linens for the facility as well as residents' personal clothing. This multifaceted role requires close collaboration with nursing staff and department heads through regular rounding, performing quality audits, facilitating service recovery, and conducting inspections to guarantee compliance with infection prevention protocols, OSHA regulations, Joint Commission standards, and other regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- 1-3 years of related experience in a manager or supervisor role required
- Previous experience in a high production laundry operation required
- Housekeeping or environmental services management experience preferred
- Healthcare experience preferred

Job Duties
- Manages day to day operations in the laundry room including the processing and distribution of all linen for the entire facility and residents' personal clothing
- Maintains equipment and chemical pars including inventory, ordering, restocking/refilling
- Responsible for staffing and productivity data plus scheduling, training and performance management
- Ensures quality control and all linen meets the quality standards designated by specific customers
- Manages floor care, trash removal and biohazardous waste removal, overall cleanliness of the buildings, and resident room cleaning
- Conducts rounding with residents, nursing and department heads, provides service recovery, quality audits and inspections
- Ensures compliance with appropriate infection prevention, safety, OSHA, Joint Commission and regulatory standards
- Determine the needs of the clients' operation and ensures that the appropriate Aramark resources are engaged
- Mentor employees by creating a shared understanding about what needs to be achieved and how it is to be achieved
- Reward and recognize employees
- Ensure safety and sanitation standards in operation are compliant with Aramark and client's regulations
