Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • Knowledge of service standards and different service types
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques and liquor laws
  • Experience handling VIP services or guest engagement preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internal hotel systems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand for entire shift
  • Must be available for flexible hours, including holidays and weekends
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings
  • Maintain regular attendance
  • Maintain high standard of personal appearance and grooming
  • Comply with hotel standards and regulations
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Able to cross-train in other areas
  • Detail-oriented

Job Duties

  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and employees
  • Work closely with other departments to maintain exceptional guest experience
  • Ensure consistency with departmental opening and closing procedures
  • Attend pre-shift meetings and communicate pass-on information
  • Maintain professional relationships and open communication
  • Operate communication devices efficiently
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • Craft amenities for VIPs and long stay guests
  • Coordinate delivery and retrieval of amenities
  • Respond to guest requests, complaints, and feedback efficiently
  • Greet VIP and repeat guests by name
  • Maintain cleanliness of public and back-of-house areas
  • Oversee restocking and cleaning of mini bars
  • Ensure compliance with state liquor laws
  • Assist in overseeing banquet operations
  • Supervise banquet personnel
  • Respond to banquet guest complaints timely
  • Monitor banquet service quality and compliance
  • Coordinate banquet food and beverage requirements
  • Conduct training for banquet employees
  • Supervise banquet check tabulation and presentation
  • Ensure banquet area cleanliness and safety
  • Manage banquet equipment and supplies
