As an Assistant General Manager at 5 Senses, you will play a pivotal role in upholding these values and driving the success of the property. Working closely in conjunction with the General Manager, you are expected to lead by example, ensuring that the team provides professional, efficient, courteous, and heartfelt service to both guests and fellow team members. Your leadership will directly impact the operations of various departments, maintaining coordination, communication, and a unified direction that aligns with brand standards and company goals.
Your responsibilities include overseeing security, cleanliness, preventative maintenance, and safety protocols to maintain the highest standards throughout the property. Clear and effective communication to the team and guests is essential to enhance their experience continuously. In partnership with the General Manager, you will engage in annual planning processes encompassing sales and marketing plans, budgeting, capital expenditures, and human capital planning. Tracking monthly forecasting and profit and loss management will be a critical component of your role to ensure financial targets are met.
You will ensure that all departments report effectively, adhering to budgeted revenue and expense plans while complying with company best practices and brand standards. Your ability to step into any operational role when needed will demonstrate your commitment to guest and team satisfaction. Continuous monitoring of brand service scores will enable you to implement corrective actions proactively, ensuring scores remain above brand averages. Empowering your team to manage guest concerns skillfully will be vital to maintaining excellent business relations and customer satisfaction.
Accountability is a key aspect of the Assistant General Manager position. You will hold yourself and your direct reports responsible for providing both informal and formal feedback that supports the development and performance enhancement of all team members. Encouraging and facilitating career development opportunities for the team by identifying potential leaders and supporting their growth will help foster a motivated and skilled workforce. You will also be instrumental in executing leadership programs like the Manager on Duty to guarantee the highest level of leadership presence at all times for both guests and staff.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Minimum 2 years hotel management experience
- Experience in hospitality industry progressive development
- Strong English communication skills
- Financial management abilities
- Leadership track record in guest service and team development
- Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, college degree preferred
- 2 years of hotel management experience
- Record of progressive experience and development in the hospitality industry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, a second language a plus
- Financial skills including P&L management, expense control and forecasting
- Proven success as a leader delivering outstanding guest experiences and team development
- Computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Job Duties
- Lead the team to provide professional, efficient, courteous and genuine hospitality
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, leadership and communication to operating departments
- Ensure security, cleanliness, preventative maintenance and safety comply with property and brand standards
- Communicate effectively with team members and guests to enhance experience
- Work with GM to execute annual planning including sales, marketing, budget and human capital plans
- Assist GM in monthly forecasting and P&L management
- Monitor brand service scores daily and take action to maintain above average scores
