The Pool Assistant General Manager at Resorts World Las Vegas plays a vital leadership role, acting as support to the General Manager in managing the daily operations of the pool deck and all front of house activities across the bars and restaurant located in this dynamic pool area. This position entails a multi-faceted leadership responsibility, including managing a diverse team that consists of servers, bartenders, cabana and pool attendants, and lifeguards while maintaining seamless collaboration with Security and Retail departments to ensure a safe and enjoyable guest experience. An essential part of this role involves coordinating with Facilities and Environmental Services to guarantee the pool deck and dining spaces maintain optimal hygiene, presentation, and operational readiness, aligning with the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

The Pool Assistant General Manager is expected to monitor and manage budgets effectively by leveraging software systems to track labor and operational costs. Working closely with the Revenue Strategy team, this position also contributes to maximizing revenue through dynamic pricing strategies and careful inventory and rate management. Adhering strictly to both Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) pool sanitation standards and Food & Beverage Health Standards, the Assistant Manager ensures compliance across all facets of pool and dining operations.

In addition, the role requires enforcing Resorts World’s company policies, guidelines, and core values as specified in the team member training manual and handbook. Obtaining and maintaining position-specific licenses such as Food Service Card, Alcohol Awareness, and Lifeguard Certification is mandatory, reflecting the critical nature of regulatory compliance in this role. Using personal devices for operational duties and communication supports efficient day-to-day management. This leadership role demands excellent communication skills, strategic planning, and the ability to mentor and lead a large workforce, contributing decisively to a superior guest experience and operational excellence at one of the most prestigious resorts on the Las Vegas Strip. Job Requirements

  • At least four years of experience within restaurant pool operations or hotel operations in a similar or related field
  • At least two years of previous management experience in a similar or related field
  • Able to utilize guest service satisfaction performance metrics from stay satisfaction surveys Tripadvisor Yelp etc to generate action plans to address service opportunities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications point of sale systems property management and restaurant management systems
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English
  • Able to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations policies and procedures
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Ability to work outdoors especially during the summer season
  • Ability to work varied shifts including nights weekends and holidays
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Position required licenses Food Service Card Alcohol Awareness Lifeguard Certification

  • Ability to establish guidelines for proper staffing to maximize efficiency and minimize labor costs
  • Polished appearance and demeanor
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills
  • Ability to successfully mentor a team
  • Experience managing a workforce of at least 50 employees
  • Forbes Five Star AAA Five Diamond experience
  • Ability to understand and speak multiple languages
  • Previous experience managing employees using a collective bargaining agreement
  • Previous experience working in a large luxury resort setting

Job Duties

  • Assist with overseeing all aspects of the pool experience including staff management of servers bartenders cabana and pool attendants lifeguards and collaboration with Security and Retail teams
  • Aid in coordinating with Facilities and Environmental Services to ensure optimal maintenance cleanliness and presentation of the pool deck and dining areas
  • Review budget and monitor labor with the use of software systems
  • Provide guidance on rates and inventory to maximize revenue by working with Revenue Strategy on dynamic pricing
  • Adhere to SNHD Health Standards for pool sanitation and F&B Health Standards
  • Ensure team members adhere to Resorts World Company guidelines as stated in team member training manual and team member handbook
  • Ensure all Resorts World core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied
  • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing
  • Use personal device cellular phone for job related operational tasks job duties review of company documents etc
  • Other duties as assigned
