We are currently seeking a seasoned Assistant General Manager to join our vibrant team. This is a full-time, hourly role based in Dallas, offering benefits such as medical insurance, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, and exclusive pet care and retail discounts. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role, supporting the General Manager in managing day-to-day operations and ensuring that Yardstick’s high standards in dog hospitality are rigorously maintained.

The Assistant General Manager is responsible for supervising staff, including Hosts who interact directly with the dogs, managing the well-being of all canine guests through regular wellness checks and medication administration, and handling client communication with professionalism and warmth. The ideal individual will excel in fostering a positive workplace culture while also being hands-on in addressing any dog behavior or health concerns that may arise. They must have a genuine passion for dogs, an exceptional ability to deliver customer service, and the organizational skills to thrive in a dynamic work environment.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • report to and serve as an extension of the general manager ensuring the business runs smoothly and high standards are met
  • supervise hosts and engage with dogs during group play
  • feed and administer medication to dogs
  • perform general wellness checks and resolve dog behavior or health issues if necessary
  • manage and provide excellent communication to customers before during and after their dog stays
  • oversee and maintain a clean and hygienic work environment
