Job Description

Border Foods began as a vision between two brothers to create a unique Mexican restaurant experience and has since blossomed into one of the largest privately held Taco Bell franchisees in the United States. With a strong emphasis on community and culture, Border Foods prides itself on a people-first mantra, which is reflected throughout the organization - from kitchen staff to cashiers, restaurant managers, and administrative teams. The company’s Core Values of Accountability, Integrity, Family, Excellence, Teamwork, and Empowerment shape every interaction with employees and guests alike. These values foster an environment where team members feel valued and supported while providing excellent customer service and delicious food to guests. Border Foods believes in a collaborative workplace where continuous learning, evolution, and career growth are encouraged, enabling everyone to contribute actively to the company's mission of making lives better.

The Assistant Manager role at Border Foods is critical in upholding these Core Values and driving the daily operations of the restaurant. This position offers flexible scheduling and competitive pay ranging from $14 to $35 per hour, depending on experience, along with a robust bonus program where Assistant General Managers can earn up to an additional $20,000 yearly. More than just managing operations, the Assistant Manager is tasked with building strong, cohesive teams who consistently deliver great food and an outstanding customer experience. They play a vital role in enforcing health and safety standards, scheduling, training new hires, and maintaining operational excellence.

This position focuses on creating a welcoming, safe environment both for employees and guests. The Assistant Manager fosters a culture of accountability by monitoring team performance and ensuring tasks are completed with integrity and professionalism. The role demands strategic planning to achieve restaurant success by analyzing financial documents like profit and loss statements and implementing cost control for labor, inventory, and waste management. Empowering team members through training, coaching, and development opportunities is another key responsibility. Border Foods offers education incentives such as GED and tuition reimbursement programs, scholarships, paid vacation, sick leave, holiday pay, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits—even for part-time team members.

Join Border Foods and become part of a company that takes pride in nurturing talent and creating rewarding career paths in the food service industry. The Assistant Manager role offers significant career growth potential and a chance to contribute meaningfully to a valued brand and community. If you have a passion for leadership, customer service excellence, and teamwork, this position provides an excellent platform to grow professionally while enjoying a supportive and positive workplace culture.
