Additional perks include free food, flexible scheduling, paid vacation, sick time, holiday pay, and a unique vacation donation program, all contributing to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Assistant Managers at Border Foods are expected to possess leadership qualities that ensure accountability and integrity within the team while actively promoting teamwork and family values. They are strategic planners who leverage profit and loss statements and other financial tools to drive the restaurant's success. Responsibilities also include hiring and training new team members and minimizing loss through strict cash handling policies and efficient labor and inventory management. Coaching and empowering team members is vital, fostering an environment of continuous learning and operational excellence. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, including working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, often demanding a minimum of 50 hours per week.
