Job Description

The French Quarter Guest Houses is a unique hospitality establishment comprising four boutique hotels located in the vibrant French Quarter of New Orleans. These hotels offer guests a distinctive, authentic, and personalized experience close to iconic landmarks such as Bourbon Street as well as hidden local treasures. Known for embracing true Southern hospitality with an innkeeper's spirit, these properties provide a peaceful retreat amid the lively atmosphere of the Crescent City. Guests enjoy a perfect blend of historic charm and modern amenities, making the French Quarter Guest Houses a sought-after destination for travelers looking to immerse themselves in the culture and rhythm of New Orleans.

The role available is for a Hotel Assistant General Manager (AGM), a key leadership position responsible for supporting the General Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations and ensuring the highest standards of guest service and operational efficiency. This full-time position provides a salary range from $50,000 to $55,000 annually, with bonus pay potential. The AGM will manage multiple departments including front office, housekeeping, and maintenance, ensuring smooth coordination between teams to deliver an outstanding guest experience. This position offers a dynamic working environment with shifts across days, nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the continuous nature of hospitality operations.

As an Assistant General Manager at the French Quarter Guest Houses, you will lead operational strategies that drive profitability, staff engagement, and guest satisfaction. This includes recruiting, training, and mentoring staff while fostering a collaborative workplace culture that encourages growth and excellence. Your financial acumen will be instrumental in controlling labor costs, monitoring expenses, and assisting with budgeting processes. You will play a hands-on role in maintaining high-quality standards through regular property inspections to uphold cleanliness and safety compliance.

Additionally, your ability to manage guest relations and promptly resolve escalations will be crucial to sustaining the hotel’s high service standards. The AGM acts as the acting general manager in their absence, requiring leadership presence and decision-making across all levels of hotel operations. A solid understanding of revenue management principles will enhance your ability to contribute to maximizing the hotel's income streams.

Joining the French Quarter Guest Houses means becoming part of a dedicated team passionate about delivering true Southern charm and an unforgettable New Orleans experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional eager to elevate their career within a respected boutique hotel group nestled in one of the country’s most iconic neighborhoods.
