This particular opportunity is for the role of Assistant General Manager at Urban Air, a position critical to driving the success of the location while upholding the company’s Culture of Activating Awesome. The Assistant General Manager will provide overall leadership, supervision, and direction on strategic initiatives and operational standards aimed at delivering superior business results. This role requires a motivated, accountable leader who can coach and motivate the team, promote customer service excellence, and maintain high standards in all operational areas including entertainment, food, beverage, attractions, and property inspections.

Key responsibilities include cultivating a team environment focused on exceptional customer service, assisting with hiring and retention, coaching, disciplining, scheduling, and ensuring staff training programs are executed effectively. The Assistant General Manager will also be responsible for selecting and developing staff and trainers for leadership development programs, managing employee recognition and incentive programs, and assisting with inventory control and expenses. Maintaining a safe, clean, and secure environment for both guests and staff is paramount. The role demands continuous improvement of operational execution through strict adherence to Urban Air's operating standards and philosophies.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in hospitality settings such as theme parks, family entertainment centers, hotels, resorts, casinos, or restaurants, with at least three years in supervisory or management roles. A professional appearance, energetic and positive attitude, strong communication skills, computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment are crucial. Candidates should be willing to work during weekends, evenings, and holidays, reflecting the entertainment industry’s dynamic schedule. Physical demands include standing for long periods, working in noisy environments, lifting up to 30 pounds, and maintaining regular attendance.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in hospitality is a must
  • 3+ years supervisory or management experience
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check

  • Must have regular and predictable attendance

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality is a must (Theme Parks, Family Entertainment Centers, Hotels, Resorts, Casinos, or Restaurants)
  • 3+ years supervisory or management experience required
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check
  • CPR/First Aid Certification is preferred
  • Brand Ambassador and Culture Champion
  • Demonstrated ability of developing team members in areas of responsibility
  • Must be professional, energetic, self-motivated, able to motivate others, and have a positive attitude
  • Computer skills essential - Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Professional grooming and conduct must be constantly displayed to set an example for staff
  • Ability to enthusiastically interact with others
  • Adaptability, flexibility, general enthusiasm for the business
  • Strong communication skills
  • ability to write and verbally communicate in a clear and concise manner

Job Duties

  • Cultivate a team environment that provides exceptional customer service while directing the team and ensuring all staff members perform at a consistently high level
  • Assist in hiring, retention of staff, coaching, discipline
  • ensure execution of staff training programs
  • Develop weekly schedules and ensure staffing levels and lead coverage is appropriate to meet the needs of the business and maximize the customer experience
  • Lead and influence staff through effective motivation, leveraging individual strengths to ensure customer satisfaction and maximum productivity
  • Select, develop staff and trainers for more responsibility or internal promotability into a leadership program
  • Ensure execution of all employee recognition and incentive programs as directed
  • Assist with inventory and controlling expenses
  • Responsible for all aspects of the operation including entertainment, food, beverage, attractions and property inspections
  • Maintain a safe, clean and secure environment for all guests and staff
  • Continuously improves operational execution through attention to detail and adherence to Urban Air operating standards and philosophies
  • Other duties as assigned
